Extra Bases

Old Friend Quentin Berry Gets Ejected, Runs Bases, Then Slides Into Home

Former Red Sox and current Triple-A Norfolk Tides outfielder Quintin Berry was ejected from last night's game against the Syracuse Chiefs after arguing with the first base umpire after hitting a single in the ninth inning.

Berry joined the Red Sox in last August last season from the Royals. He played in 13 games for the Red Sox last season, going 5-for-9 with 3 stolen bases for a very short sample .625/.667/.1.000 line. Berry signed as a free agent with the Orioles in January.
