On Tuesday night, Oakland A's left fielder Yoenis Cespedes made a throw to remember -- after misplaying a double by the Angels' Mike Trout -- when he nailed the Angels Howie Kendrick at home plate in Anaheim.
Well, he made another terrific throw last night as well after what looked like a stand-up double by Albert Pujols in the sixth inning. The ball hit by Pujols bounced past Cespedes in the left field corner and went rolling toward center field. While Cespedes was chasing the ball down, Pujols ran past second on his way to third but was gunned down by another on-the-fly throw by Cespedes to third baseman Josh Donaldson.
It was the league leading ninth outfield assist for Cespedes.
The Athletics are off tonight, so we won't be seeing another defensive highlight out of Cespedes until at least Friday night when the A's host the Yankees.
