Talk about a great recovery.
The A's Yoenis Cespedes may have made the throw of the decade in Tuesday night's game against the Angels in Anaheim, but he was his own worst enemy when the play in the outfield began.
With the game tied 1-1 in the eighth inning, the Angels Mike Trout ripped a double into left field that Cespedes misplayed when the ball bounced off the end of his glove and into the left field corner.
LA's Howie Kendrick, who walked earlier, looked like he would score easily after the miscue, but Cespedes fired off a 330-foot rope to catcher Derek Norris, nabbing Kendrick before he could reach the plate.
The Angels challenged the out call, but it was upheld.
Ok Cespedes. We get it. You have an arm. #Angels— Los Angeles Angels (@Angels) June 11, 2014
