Rehabbing Red Sox players Shane Victorino and Will Middlebrooks were both in action for the PawSox last night in Rochester, N.Y.

Victorino went 0-for-2 and patrolled right field for five innings. He's been on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain since May 21, missing 23 games. Red Sox manager John Farrell said Monday there is a possibility Victorino could be activated on the upcoming west coast trip which begins Friday.

Middlebrooks also went 0-for-2 on the night and played third base for four innings. He was placed on the 15-day DL on May 17 with a fractured right finger. He lost his starting job at third base when Xander Bogaerts moved over to third after the Red Sox acquired Stephen Drew to play shortstop.

Both players are expected to play again today followed by an offday on Wednesday.

Rehabbing righty Clay Buchholz is scheduled to start for the PawSox on Thursday in what may be his final rehab start before returning to the big club. Buchholz has been on the disabled list since May 27 with a hyperextended left knee.

The Sox may also activate Felix Doubront from the disabled list soon. The lefthander, who has been on the DL since May 21 with a left shoulder strain, has made three rehab starts, one at Double-A Portland and two at Triple-A Pawtucket.

In other minor league news, second baseman/outfielder Mookie Betts hit a triple, double, and scored the only run for Pawtucket after he walked in the ninth inning. Betts is batting .292/.404/.479 since being called up from Double-A Portland.
