BOSTON -- David Ross is slated to be activated from the disabled list early this week. On Saturday, Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell said the catcher could be activated on Monday or Tuesday. Ross has been on the DL with right plantar fasciitis.

Allen Craig (left foot sprain) will begin his rehab assignment with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Monday. The Red Sox have outlined three days of rehab but it remains to be seen how many of those will be needed.

"He's in agreement that there needs to be some at bats had," said Farrell. "Whether that's four, whether that's eight, we'll cross that as we get through it."

Dustin Pedroia, who left Friday's game after fouling a ball of his right foot, will not miss any time and will play Saturday.
