The making of Jacoby Ellsbury
Sweet September
We next saw Ellsbury in September 2007, when he infused the Red Sox with a much-needed burst of energy for the stretch run. In 97 at bats, he hit .361 with 16 runs scored, 17 RBIs, and 9 stolen bases. His exciting play resulted in a groundswell of support for Ellsbury to get the starting nod in the playoffs over Coco Crisp.
