Lowdown: His fi rst season with the Red Sox? Disappointing. He went through a hitless streak of 31 at-bats during the middle of the season and barely recovered. He should bounce back, but he hasn't been able to show much of anything in spring training, as his back injury opened the door for lots of playing time for Jed Lowrie.
