Red Sox pitcher Julian Tavarez lept high into the air, but couldn't snag Nick Markakis' ball hit past the mound in the top of the sixth inning. The play turned out OK for Boston, as the ball went to second baseman Mark Loretta, who started a 4-6-3 double play.
