Josh Beckett

While the big, brash Texan is out of the Clemens mold, he doesn't generate eye-popping strikeout totals like his idol - his career high is 194, set during his outstanding 2007 season, when he won 20 games and dazzled in the postseason. But there are few pitchers in the game who can blow away a good hitter with pure heat. When he's on his game, Beckett rates among those elite few.
