Trot Nixon, a beloved member of the Red Sox for 10 years and part of Boston's World Series team of 2004, is back in the big leagues this season with the New York Mets.

But it's been a long journey back to baseball's biggest stage for Nixon, who the Red Sox did not offer salary arbitration to after the 2006 season.
