Chris Carter
On Aug. 21, 2007, the Washington Nationals sent outfielder/first baseman Chris Carter to the Red Sox to complete the trade that sent defensively challenged and strikeout prone outfielder Wily Mo Pena (and cash) to the Nats earlier in the month. Carter has been a mainstay on the PawSox since the deal. He currently has 11 home runs, 43 RBIs, to go along with a .269 average. Pena was released by the Nationals at the end of spring training and now plays for the Buffalo Bisons, the Mets Triple-A affiliate.
