Red Sox
When the Red Sox acquired Okajima, they did so with much less fanfare than the signing of Matsuzaka. But Okajima's performance this season deserves celebration, as he's put up a nifty 2.28 ERA with a WHIP of just 0.96. The only cause for concern is his recent performance: In eight appearances since August 30, he has an ugly 11.57 ERA. His high innings total (68, his highest since 2000) could be taking a toll on Okajima, who returned to action Sept. 27.
