Red Sox prospect Dustin Pedroia saw his first major league action in August and September. He struggled mightily at the plate, going 4 for his first 40 at bats as a major leaguer and finishing with an average below .200 (.191). Pedroia looked overwhelmed occasionally in the field as well, picking up three errors in 26 games at second base, but wasn’t a liability with the glove.
