In Mark Loretta’s first season with the Red Sox he was a model of consistency. Loretta batted .285 with 59 RBIs and 74 runs scored. He struck out once every 9.8 at bats, the best ratio on the team. Loretta also had a flare for the dramatic with two walkoff hits this season, including a home run on Marathon Monday.
