Danny Vinik, the 17-year-old son of Jeff Vinik, a limited partner of the Red Sox, grabbed a Manny Ramirez foul ball away from Angels catcher Jeff Mathis with one out in the fifth inning, giving Manny new life at the plate. Ramírez walked to load the bases, then Mike Lowell hit a sacrifice fly to tie the score at 3-3.
