Red Sox
On Oct. 9, 1996, 12-year-old Jeff Maier made a name for himself when he reached over the right-field fence at Yankee Stadium to catch a ball hit by Derek Jeter as Baltimore Orioles' right fielder Tony Tarasco tried to make the catch during Game 1 of the ALCS. The hit was ruled a home run which allowed the Yankees to tie the score. New York would go on to win the game and the series, much to the chagrin of Orioles fans.
