Garrett Atkins 2008 statistics: Avg. HRs RBIs OBP SLG .286 21 99 .328 .452 Not the impact bat Teixeira would provide, but a solid bat nonetheless. Atkins, 28, is being pushed out Denver due to the emergence of third baseman Ian Stewart and Todd Helton's no-trade clause. Atkins's numbers were down across the board this year, but he's young enough to return to his 2006 totals (.329, 29, 120). He runs about as often as David Ortiz.
