Providing some pop
After hitting two more homers in August, Pedroia had six on the season, more than he had with Triple-A Pawtucket in 111 games in 2006. Not bad for a guy who started the year out hitting ninth in the batting order. He finished with a .317 batting average, eight homers and 50 RBIs, striking out just 42 times in 520 at bats.
