Jackie Jensen, 1958
The rocket-armed 31-year-old right fielder won his lone MVP after leading the league in RBIs (122) while finishing fifth in homers (35), doubles (31), and on-base percentage (.396). Jensen was one of the most gifted all-around athletes of his time -- he was the first person to play in both the Rose Bowl and the World Series -- but he ended his 11-season career prematurely in 1961 because of a fear of flying.
