As the Globe's Nick Cafardo notes, will offense be more of a priority in a catcher now that the team lost out on Teixeira? If so, Miguel Montero of Arizona might be more of a target, or Jarrod Saltalamacchia (pictured), who played winter ball in the Dominican for a few weeks but has returned home. Remember, too, the Sox need a backup catcher as well. Their backup last season, Kevin Cash, has decided to join the Yankees.
