While saying all the right things about wanting to stay with the Blue Jays, word out of Toronto is that Wells fully intends to explore free agency after next season. If J.P. Ricciardi believes the same thing, it figures that he would shop Wells this winter. Wells’ OPS was higher than that of Andruw Jones (.899 to .894), he’s durable, and he appears committed to taking his game to the next level.
