Jack Clark

In 1991, five-time All-Star Jack Clark, known as "Jack the Ripper," joined the Red Sox as a free agent.

Clark, a slugger with a high on-base percentage, had been hobbled by injuries, but his first Sox season was solid: 28 home runs and 87 RBIs. The next season, Clark only played 81 games, and his tenure with the Sox is not remembered fondly. He retired in 1993.
