Saved from the junkyard: Red Sox reclamations
Ramon Martinez
Sox fans remember the brilliant Pedro Martinez, but he wasn't the only member of his family to pitch for the Sox. His older brother, Ramon, pitched for the Sox in 1999 and 2000, helping the '99 team to a postseason berth.
Martinez pitched formidably for nearly a decade with the Dodgers, winning 20 games in 1990 and 17 in 1991 and 1995, but he was let go after the 1997 season after a shoulder injury. He went 10-8 for the 2000 Red Sox.
Martinez left the Sox after the season and retired in 2001.
