David Wells
The ultimate journeyman, Wells played for a staggering 10 teams in 12 different stints, the most notable the 1998 season that included a perfect game. He signed with the Sox for two seasons and pitched for the team in 2005 before being traded to the Padres in exchange for George Kottaras in August 2006. He hasn't officially retired but has been inactive since 2007. He compiled a 239-157 career record in 21 seasons and was 17-10 with a 4.56 ERA with the Sox.
