Red Sox All-Stars in St. Louis
Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon pitched the seventh inning of Tuesday's All-Star game for the American League and picked up the win in the process.
Despite pitching a 1-2-3 frame, Papelbon had a bit of a shaky inning, allowing a long fly ball to left by Colorado outfielder Brad Hawp, who was robbed of a homer by Tampa Bay left fielder Carl Crawford. Papelbon then allowed a long warning track fly to right by Miguel Tejada before striking out Jason Werth.
The American League went ahead to stay in the eighth en route to a 4-3 triumph in the 80th MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis.
