In the summer of 2009, Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was linked to baseball's steroids era when the New York Times reported his name was on the list of 104 players who tested positive for steroids in a 2003 survey test. On Aug. 9, 2009, Big Papi met the media at Yankee Stadium and said he'd taken many supplements, but never knowingly bought or used steroids.
