May 17: Yankees 11, Red Sox 9

Marcus Thames (right) hit a walkoff home run in the ninth inning to lift the Yankees to an 11-9 victory over the Red Sox Monday at Yankee Stadium. The Red Sox trailed much of the game, but rallied to take a 9-7 lead in the eighth.

Then the Yankees tied the score in the ninth on Alex Rodriguez's two-run home run, setting up Thames' heroics.
