Meet the 2011 Red Sox
Projected lineupCF Jacoby Ellsbury
Fast fact: Ellsbury has made only two errors in 818 career chances. They both came in 2009. He went 232 games to start his career without making one.
Lowdown: If spring training was any indication, Ellsbury will not be adversely affected by playing only 18 games last season. He swung the bat well and played with his usual abandon. He has reclaimed center field and will be the leadoff hitter on most days. He and Carl Crawford should cover a lot of ground in the outfield and cause plenty of headaches on the bases.
