Where will Matt Garza end up starting?
It's been reported that former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein's Cubs are willing to move righthander Matt Garza. Garza alone is way too much compensation for Epstein, but adding a few good prospects would serve to make it an equal deal according to the Globe's Peter Abraham. The 28-year-old Garza is under contract with the Cubs for two more years and will be arbitration eligible in 2012 and 2013 before he is scheduled to hit free agency in 2014. The Cubs' compensation for Garza may be too costly for the Red Sox, who seek a No. 5 starter. Garza is also on the radar of the Yankees, who are actively looking for a No. 2 starter.
