Sox decline arbitration on Tim Wakefield The Red Sox declined to offer arbitration to knuckleballer Tim Wakefield (right), as well as catcher Jason Varitek, pitchers Erik Bedard and Trever Miller, and outfielders J.D. Drew and Conor Jackson. Wakefield, who picked up his 200th career victory last season, has been with the Red Sox since 1995.
