Indians bench coach Sandy Alomar Jr. had a distinguished career, bursting onto the scene in 1990 as the AL Rookie of the Year and making six All-Star teams. Alomar was a catching instructor with the Mets before becoming a first base coach and eventually a bench coach with the Indians. He also interviewed for the Cubs' manager job.I learned tremendously on my own. I feel like Im prepared to manage a major league team," he said.
