June 29: Phillies 2, Red Sox 1
Adrian Gonzalez, who usually plays first base, started in right field in Game 2 of the Red Sox' series against the Phillies in order to allow usual designated hitter David Ortiz to get in the lineup by positioning him at first base. Gonzalez, who had only played right field one other time, was unable to reach a triple by the Phillies' Chase Utley in the eighth inning, but only saw limited action beyond Utley's drive.
