Lester historically improves after April Red Sox starter Jon Lester pitched seven innings and allowed six hits, five runs and struck out four Monday night in Minnesota. Last season, while Lester did go 3-1 in April, he was also 4-1 in May and 10-4 with a 3.31 ERA by the All-Star break. In 2010, Lester started 1-2 in April, but went 5-0 in May and 3-1 in June. In 2009, Lester went 1-2 in April, but finished the season with a 15-8 record to go along with a 3.41 ERA. So while Lester has struggled out of the gate in 2012, history says he'll improve.
