Reasons for Red Sox optimism

Sox usually start to make hay in May After an 11-15 April last season, the Red Sox went 19-10 in May and 16-9 in June on their way to having the best record in baseball for much of the 2011 season. And in 2010, the Sox went 18-11 in May and 18-9 in June after a 11-12 April campaign. In addition, the Red Sox will face some of the weaker opponents in the AL, facing the 8-10 Oakland A's when they return to Fenway, followed by series against the Orioles, Royals, Indians, and Mariners.
