Red Sox-Yankees series story lines

Season series review There’s not a whole lot to review here; the season series hasn’t even made it to Yankee Stadium yet. The Red Sox dropped two games at Fenway Park in April, 6-2 and 15-9. That’s it. Before the first loss, the Red Sox celebrated their 100th anniversary. Clay Buchholz took the loss in that game, but it was the bullpen at fault for Game 2’s loss. Felix Doubront pitched brilliantly, allowing one run on four hits over six innings before the Yankees tagged Vicente Padilla and Alfredo Aceves for five runs apiece. The Red Sox will visit Yankee Stadium for the last weekend of July, and then go back and forth between Boston and New York for a series in August, September, and October.
