The Red Sox will pay tribute to the 2004 World Series champions on Tuesday, Sept. 25 before the game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Fifty players contributed to the 2004 team throughout the season, 40 of whom are retired or out of baseball, two are free agents, two are on minor league rosters, one is playing in Korea, and five are still active major leaguers.
