Orlando Cabrera From the moment Cabrera became a member of the Red Sox, the team went 42-19 to capture the AL wild card. He homered in his first at-bat with the team, quickly earning a good reputation in Boston despite taking the spot of beloved Nomar Garciaparra. Cabrera has played for seven teams since leaving the Red Sox after winning the World Series, and announced he would retire this past January.
