Steve Avery
Avery was a star for the front-running Atlanta Braves for six seasons in the early '90s before joining the Sox in 1997 as the so-called replacement for Roger Clemens, who left Boston for Toronto after the 1996 season. Avery pitched two years for the Red Sox, going 16-14 over two seasons with a 5.64 ERA. He pitched for the Reds in 1999 and disappeared from baseball until a brief stint with the Tigers in 2003. (
