An All-Star center fielder for nine consecutive seasons, Lynn earned the American League MVP in his rookie year in Boston. Lynn hit .331 in the 1975 campaign, and followed it up by hitting .314 mark in 1976. In '79, Lynn hit .333 with 39 homers, 122 RBIs, 116 runs scored, 42 doubles, and 82 walks. Lynn ended up with 306 homers and more than 1,100 RBIs in his injury-riddled career and was never the same after he left the Sox for Anaheim in a 1981 trade.
