MOST BELOVED MANAGER
Dick Williams
Dick Williams (pictured on the right with the Cardinals' Roger Maris before Game 2 off the 1967 World Series) was a tough disciplinarian and one of only two managers to guide three teams to the World Series. With a focus on fundamentals and hard work, his "Impossible Dream" Red Sox went on to win their first AL pennant since 1946, but lost to the favored Cardinals in seven games in the '67 World Series.
