MOST BELOVED RELIEVER
Keith Foulke
Foulke (right) saved 32 games in 39 opportunities with a 2.17 ERA in 2004, his first year in Boston. In the '04 postseason, Foulke threw 257 pitches over 14 innings, appeared in 11 of 14 playoff games, and allowed just one earned run. Many felt he should have been named the World Series MVP. Foulke battled knee injuries, and lost some stature in the eyes of fans, over his remaining two years in Boston and lost the closer role to Jonathan Papelbon last season.
