Bob Stanley
The Steamer has appeared in more games than any other pitcher in Red Sox history (637) and ranks as the team's all-time saves leader with 132. The sinkerballer's best season was in '83 ,when he led the Sox with 33 saves and a 2.45 ERA. Stanley was a key member of the 1986 Red Sox team that came within one out of winning the World Series. In the 10th inning of Game 6, Stanley's two-out wild pitch to Mookie Wilson allowed the Mets to tie the score.
