MOST BELOVED SHORTSTOP
Orlando Cabrera
OC was the spark that ignited a World Series run in Boston in '04 when he came to town in a July trade that sent longtime Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra packing. Handshakes, high energy, solid defense, and clutch hitting (he batted .379 with 11 hits vs. the Yankees in the ALCS) are what Sox fans remember most about the half-year wonder in Boston. Here in this Oct. 6, 2004 photo, Cabrera exhulted after the final out in Anaheim.
