Carney Lansford
Lansford put together two solid seasons as the Red Sox third baseman in 1981-82 and won the 1981 batting title with a .336 average as a 24-year-old. He hit a staggering .363 at Fenway in the strike-shortened season. Lansford was dealt to Oakland prior to the 83 season, clearing the way for Wade Boggs in Boston, and spent his last 10 seasons with the As.
