Ortiz curled his second homer of the game around the Pesky Pole to break a ninth-inning tie and give the Red Sox a victory. It was Ortiz's franchise-record ninth regular season walkoff homer with the Red Sox. Hall of Famer Jimmie Foxx had eight.
