Mission accomplished!
By Chris Rattey, Boston.com Staff

It took us about 25 hours of drive time over two days, but the Lighter Side landed in St. Louis to finish its biggest mission of all-time. There were three missions: 1) To discover the true Red Sox Nation. 2) To score a World Series ticket. 3) To take home a World Series ring. Guess what: Mission accomplished!

Lighter Side roadblog

What a long, strange trip it's been Red Sox Nation. We drove, yelled at truck drivers, laughed, and cried together over the last three days. Here's the Lighter Side view of an ultimate road trip to St. Louis.

Lighter Side on the road
Lighter Side on the road Chris Rattey is a producer for Boston.com, and drove to St. Louis in search of the Red Sox Nation, to find a ticket to a game, and witness the breaking of an 86-year curse. That all happened in three short days. Congratulations, Red Sox Nation ... it was a pleasure finding you.
