Oprah Winfrey is considering a bid to buy the Clippers if current owner Donald Sterling is forced to sell the team, sources tell ESPN. Winfrey would team with fellow billionaires David Geffen and Larry Ellison in the bid for the franchise.

On Tuesday, the NBA banned Sterling from the league for life and fined him $2.5 million for racist comments made to his girlfriend and recorded in an audio tape released to the media. The NBA’s 29 other owners will now vote on forcing Sterling to sell the franchise.
