Sixers jump past Cavaliers

Allen Iverson's career-high in assists helped Philadelphia make a nice pass in the standings.

Iverson had 23 points and 16 assists to help the 76ers sweep the season series against Cleveland with a 103-98 victory last night in Philadelphia and leapfrog the Cavaliers into seventh place in the Eastern Conference playoff race. While both Cleveland and Philadelphia are 38-37, the Sixers have the tiebreaker with three wins against the Cavaliers.

Grizzlies 97, Heat 81 -- Mike Miller score 30 points as Memphis dominated play inside against a visiting Miami team that played without Shaquille O'Neal (stomach ailment). The Grizzlies hit their first five 3-point attempts on their way to a 60-35 lead at the half.

Nuggets 107, Timberwolves 104 -- Carmelo Anthony scored 26 points and Andre Miller had 22 points and 15 assists to help visiting Denver deal a blow to Minnesota's playoff hopes.

The Timberwolves fell 4 1/2 games behind the seventh-place Nuggets and 3 1/2 behind the eighth-place Grizzlies in the race for the final playoff spot in the West.

Warriors 127, Suns 119 -- At Oakland, Calif., Mickael Pietrus hit six 3-pointers while scoring a career-high 28 points, and Golden State matched its franchise record with 18 3-pointers in its eighth straight victory.

Mike Dunleavy had 28 points, including five threes, as the Warriors extended their longest winning streak since 1994.

The Suns had a six-game winning streak halted despite Amare Stoudemire's 44 points and 16 rebounds.

Bulls 102, Knicks 94 -- Ben Gordon scored 22 points and Kirk Hinrich added 20 to help Chicago hand host New York its ninth straight loss.

Pacers 93, Wizards 83 -- Reggie Miller scored 18 points to lead host Indiana to its season-high sixth straight win.

Pistons 114, Magic 102 -- Tayshaun Prince scored 26 points and Chauncey Billups added 23 as visiting Detroit clinched the Eastern Conference's No. 2 playoff seed.

Bucks 93, Bobcats 75 -- Desmond Mason scored 21 points and Marcus Fizer added a season-high 18 to power host Milwaukee.

Jazz 98, Hornets 87 -- Matt Harpring scored 10 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter to spark Utah at New Orleans.

Raptors 109, Hawks 101 -- Jalen Rose scored 30 points to help host Toronto win in overtime as Atlanta lost its 14th straight game.

Kings 119, Trail Blazers 115 -- Peja Stojakovic had 35 points and visiting Sacramento clinched its seventh-straight playoff appearance.

Lakers 117, SuperSonics 94 -- Kobe Bryant scored 42 points and Caron Butler matched a season high with 31, leading Los Angeles at Seattle.
