NEW YORK (Reuters) - Tracy McGrady sparked a fourth-quarter Houston rally to help the Rockets beat the Utah Jazz 94-92 on the road on Thursday for their first win after two losses in the Western Conference series.

McGrady, who finished with 27 points, tied the game at 86-86 on a free throw before putting Houston in front with two more from the foul line with 2:50 remaining.

He later hit two jumpers, the second with 1:42 remaining to give the Rockets a 92-86 lead.

"When it's time to really take over and assert myself on the offensive end that's when I have got to do that," McGrady told reporters.

Rafer Alston added 20 points and Carl Landry, who had 11 rebounds, blocked a shot by Utah's Deron Williams that could have won the game.

Williams finished with 28 points and 12 assists. Carlos Boozer added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Game Four is on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
