Magic's Hedo Turkoglu wins NBA's most improved player award

ORLANDO, Fla.—Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu has been selected the NBA's most improved player.
The NBA announced Monday that Turkoglu received 380 points, including 61 first-place votes. Memphis Grizzlies guard Rudy Gay was second with 167 points and 23 first-place votes, while Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge was third with 128 points and nine first-place votes.
Turkoglu, in his eighth NBA season, averaged a career-high 19.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 5 assists per game.
Last season, Turkoglu averaged 13.3 points, 4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.![]()
